It is headquartered at Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, with marketing offices in India (Bangalore, Pune, Ludhiana, Coimbatore and Raipur) and overseas (South Africa).The company commenced operations in 1997-98, with financial assistance from Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd (IREDA). The initial capacity of 3.0 MWp has been increased to 30 MWp currently. It has also planned to increase the capacity to 50 MW by July 2008 and further to 100 MW by mid 2009.

Born in 1965, Mr. Detlef Schulz is the founder and managing director of MEREG GmbH, germany, a company dealing in photovoltaic components, complete systems and development of yield optimized PV systems. It has developed a new PV-solar-thermal hybrid technology "SOL AMI�" with PECVD coated interference mirror films. It is works in combination of PV with Biogas power plant and does project management.Mr. Schulz has a university conclusion as a mechanical engineer and is developer of mechanical-electronic systems with emphasis energy, environmental and recycling technology. He has 9 patents and patent applications, 2 trademarks and some registered designs.
Arvind L. Chel
Born in 1981, Arvind Chel is a senior research fellow; President, Energy Forum 2008-09 at Centre for Energy Studies, IIT Delhi. He has experience in developing and making solar instruments (New type of Pyrheliometer for measuring direct beam radiation as minor project at IIT Bombay). He graduated as B.E.(Mechanical) from Government Engg. College, Aurangabad. After completing his M.Tech (Energy Systems Engineering) from IIT Bombay, he is pursuing his Ph.D. from Centre for Energy Studies, IIT Delhi.Arvind Chel has published many research papers in International Journals of repute such as Applied Energy (Thermal performance and embodied energy analysis of a passive house - case study of vault roof mud-house in India), Energy and Buildings (Energy conservation in honey storage building using Trombe wall, Performance evaluation and life cycle cost analysis of earth to air heat exchanger integrated with adobe building for New Delhi composite climate), International Journal of Agile Systems and Management (Sizing and cost estimation methodology for stand-alone residential PV power system), Desalination (Parametric study of an active and passive solar distillation system), International Journal of Energy Research (Comparative thermal performance evaluation of an active solar distillation system), International Journal of Exergy (Exergetic analysis of passive and active solar stills) etc. He has also presented papers in various reputed conferences in India (SOLARIS-2007, REA-2008, Bharatiya Vigyan Sammelan-2007 etc.) and USA (ASME conference).
He is an active member of American Society of Mechanical Engineers; American Solar Energy Society; International Energy Initiative (IEI); Member of IBPSA-India; Member of Arch Society. He has to his credit of writing book Chapter on "Building integrated renewable energy technologies: Embodied energy, economic analysis and potential of CO2 emission mitigation" for the book entitled as "Energy and Buildings: Energy conservation efficiency and air quality in Buildings" on invitation from an International Nova Science Publishing House, New York (USA).
Dr. Omkar K. Jani
Dr. Omkar K. Jani received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, USA and is the founder of Kanoda, Inc., an innovative photovoltaic solutions provider. Dr. Jani's interests include high-efficiency low-cost silicon, III-V and third-generation photovoltaic technologies, and energy policy, which are unified by the goal of accelerated photovoltaic deployment.His previous projects include US Department of Energy's (DOE) Solar America Initiative (SAI) to develop grid-competitive Interdigitated Back Contact (IBC) silicon heterojunction solar cells, and the US Defense Advance Research Programs Agency's (DARPA) Very High Efficiency Solar Cell (VHESC) to develop commercial solar cells with efficiencies beyond 50%. Dr. Jani's activities include reviewing publications for journals such as Applied Physics Letters, Journal of Applied Physics and Progress in Photovoltaics, chairing at IEEE photovoltaic specialist conferences, and giving seminars on photovoltaic research and technology.
