Engineers India Limited (EIL), the listed public sector giant, has made its foray into the Solar energy sector with a tie up with Delhi based Exergy Consortium (Exergy) to provide Lumpsum Turnkey (LSTK) EPC services for setting up MW sized grid connected Solar Farms for Investors and Project Developers. With this EIL is looking at the opportunity provided under the Jawaharlal Nehru Solar Mission Plan (JNNSM).
EIL, one of the world’s leading design and engineering Company, brings to the table its vast experience of 45 years of handling more than 4300 EPC contracts on turnkey basis. Its quality management systems in respect of its services have been assessed and upgraded to ISO 9001:2000 version.
Exergy is led by a young and dynamic team of IIT & IIM graduates offering innovative solar services. It is a knowledge intensive consulting house working in the areas of solar plant set ups, carbon advisory, carbon clean technology, carbon finance, etc. Exergy is working with its clients on a cumulative capacity of more than 150 MW. It is also pursuing the till date India’s largest 2MW Rooftop PV installation.
The Exergy – EIL alliance offers its services for Technical Feasibility Studies, Bankable Detailed Project Report (DPR), Project Management, Procurement, Construction up to Commissioning & Plant Start-up assistance and O&M services.
Some of the specialized services are Cost Engineering (due to dynamic pricing model of PV modules) and Advanced Automation through ‘Continual Production Monitoring’. This is done through Operational Call Centers (OCC), wherein the OCC analysts measure and verify the performance of all solar PV installations remotely. Quick remedial measures can be taken if the system is underperforming. Further, they provide PV fleet performance and production on a secure, online dashboard or portal.
With a strong experience base, robust financials and high reliability, this partnership expects to offer innovative services in the newly formed but fast developing Indian Solar industry.
